Anguilla was colonized by indigenous tribes who migrated from South America. The first Native American artifacts found on Anguilla have been dated to around 1300 BC, and remains of settlements date from 600 AD. Anguilla is the beautiful island in the Caribbean east of Puerto Rico and the British Virgin Islands, and just north of San Martin.
